Way to Happiness: Is There a Right Way?

November 17th, 2009

Admittedly, each person’s way to happiness is unique.  After all a person’s definition of happiness will differ according to his/her social and familial experiences, economic status and religious affiliations, to name a few factors.  As such, there is no wrong or right way per se.  However, there are right things that you can do to smoothen the way to happiness.  Take note, however, that these things will work for some and not for others, again thanks to differing definitions of happiness.  (You will also observe that these are adapted from Buddhism, the region most associated with promoting the way to happiness on Earth)

Right Thought

Happiness is a state of mind.  As cliché as it sounds, it is one of the truest adage you will hear on life.  As a consequence, the way to happiness is also in the mind and in the heart, if you like to think so.

The right thought cleanses us of the doubts and fears, hatred and anger, illusion and ignorance of what constitutes true happiness.  And when we have the right thoughts, we are better able to navigate the way to happiness that we have set for ourselves.

Right Speech

In Christianity, the things that come out of our mouths come from the deepest parts of our hearts.  This can be applied in your journey in the way to happiness.  To make yourself happy, you must learn to speak your thoughts and you must learn to listen to other people’s thoughts, too.  You want your way to happiness to be peppered with kind words that will make others happy.

Besides, you want other people who are on the same way to happiness as you are to treat you in a similar manner. Buddha and Jesus Christ will definitely approve, thanks to the Golden Rule of a happy life.

Right Actions

Of course, thought and speech must be translated into action.  Otherwise, you will not be making great strides along the way to happiness.  And with your happiness affecting the happiness of others around you, their happiness will be adversely affected, too.

Right action means adopting a positive attitude where you have respect for life, respect for property and respect for personal relationships.  Again, the tenets of Buddhism come in at this point.

When you have respect for life, you respect the rights of other people to their own brand of happiness.  When you have respect for property, you acknowledge the hard work that comes with owning it.  When you respect personal relationships, you respect the emotional boundaries that define us.  And when you have all these kind of respect in your daily actions, you will find happiness of heart and peace of mind.  Let’s hope that others, too, will be mindful of the Golden Rule and provide you with the same respect as you give to others.

In conclusion, the way to happiness is best found when you adopt the right thought, the right speech and the right action.  Just find what is right for you without harming others and everything will be alright.

The Easy Way to Happiness: Proven Tips

July 23rd, 2009

The world is mostly unfair – there are more people living in poverty, violence, stress, anxiety and all other kinds of miserable environment. Only a select few can be describes as wealthy and happy people and because many are envious of their wealth, more and more people feel discontent, frustration and other different sorts of negative emotion. It could be blamed on human nature to be sucked in to a negative environment and have a hard time getting out of that limbo. If you think you are one those people fighting your way out of misery and all those negativity, there are in fact tips that you can seek to find your way to happiness.

Proven Tips on Finding Happiness

• Primarily, having the right attitude and mindset is very important. You should be ready mentally and emotionally to pursue the way to happiness despite your current situation or the things that is happing in your daily life. You can make a resolution each night before sleeping to be happy to the best extent possible in your everyday life and repeat this every night. When you develop this habit, your mind will tune itself to tread on happier lines.

• Hearty smiles mean you have a happy mind. Smiling will not only makes you feel but it also sets the tone for the rest of your day. Seeing you happy will encourage others to come and talk to you, so learn and develop the habit of smiling at will.

• Next is to keep company and keep your mind busy by involving yourself in different activities that interests you. Never let your mind wander idle and be swept into a state of negativity and instead focus on finding your way to happiness.

• And even if you are not ambitious, try to be happy where you are. Ambitions drive people to achieve something and should be treated as a handle for disappointment especially if you are having a hard time reaching for your targets. Failures and losses can happen to anybody’s life and in those moments that you feel really low, remember all the things you have been proud of and keep your mind off the others who have the luck to achieve their ambitions. And once you are able to develop this habit, you will easily calm down and start feeling better to try for your goals again.

• And finally, looking at the brighter side of things or those we call as the silver linings during our moments of despair will help us feel “intangible” and helps us achieve the impossible.

Finding the way to happiness could be such an easy road if only you try and work on pursuing it from the heart. So tomorrow, wake up with a happy smile in your lips and have a strong resolve at heart to seek happiness always.

Life’s road is long and windy, but if we change our perspectives and look at things in a positive manner, we can well be on our way to happiness. For more information and success stories, you may visit: www.happyessence.com

How to Find your Way to Happiness

July 13th, 2009

People are not always happy, there are also sad moments as well as a wide range of emotions that you feel everyday. These emotions are simply part of humanity that we can never take away. How these emotions soars makes life exciting and worth living, especially if we finally find our way to happiness.

Finding your way to happiness

A lot of people who believe in suffering with their sadness had felt that there is no more to their lives than misery and loneliness. When sadness is becoming a greater part of your daily experiences, it is time that you take action and look the other way to happiness.

Our body has an energy system, both joy and grief are held inside the heart chakra. And these two are very much connected, for you to raise your joy inside you; you must heal the sadness that is weighing your happiness down. Still the best way is to become aware of the sadness and hear what it has to say. You should also allow that sadness to speak or weep and let it validate its presence, and only then should you allow yourself to let go which is easier said than done.

Healing and happiness

When healing from sadness and pain, it is important to reach out for help and ask others for assistance in your difficult times. Though you can opt for the more traditional counseling or grief therapy, there are always your friends to help you get a perspective of things other than how you view things. Sometimes, when you are so miserable, you are rendered blind by the negativity from seeing things in another way. It will be beneficial to have outside observation during these times.

Getting fresh perspectives can help you deal with the ordinariness of the things you are stuck with. You’d feel that there seems to be something missing in your life, and many tire from pursuing the purpose and quality of life that they want. There are people who have been carrying their burdens around and not knowing that to do to get out of their sadness and grief. Some do not know how to finally let go of the things that are weighing them down. Yet despite people’s differences of backgrounds and experiences, the desire is one and the same – that is to find the way to happiness.

For people who have experienced sadness and grief, happiness is borne from the healing process. Once we allow sadness to be released and changed in to joy, we then achieve freedom from our burdens. You then become free to express your happiness, your wants, needs, and desires. You’re now free to expand within your own body energy and be simply one with yourself.

You may think that happiness is all elusive, but even in the darkest hours you can still find your way to happiness. Visit www.happyessence.com to start finding out how.

Navigating your Way to Happiness

April 2nd, 2009
Back in the old days, boats had difficult times travelling from one destination to another. It wasn’t as easy as it was thought to be and it isn’t as simple as going from point A to point B. With the latest technology today, routes are carefully planned to ensure the safest travel when navigating towards their given destination. This concept works the exact same way when you want to navigate your way to happiness.

It is true that happiness can be difficult to attain because of the many external obstacles around, just as boats have a difficult time travelling under harsh weather conditions. Boats rely on technology, while you should rely on the power of your mind and creativity in finding your way to happiness.

Before you start to make way, you should always lay out the possible routes and which route can be the best under the given conditions. For happiness, there are two different routes that can be taken.

1. External Routes

External routes involve actions that are closely tied to the external environment. For example, if you are getting hungry, your cravings start to kick in and in order for you to be happy, you need to take the external route and find the best way you can get some food for yourself. If you feel sleepy, then you need to plan on when and where you can get the best possible sleep to keep you happy.

Feeling down and depressed is like being lost in a navigational map and not knowing where to head next. You need to find your way out and discover a new area, which can very well be a new reason to be happy. This is why people who tend to be lost in thoughts end up trying something new and end up enjoying it.

2. Internal Routes

No matter what external route you take, it is the internal routes that truly count. A boat can be seen externally, but it’s the people that actually guide it and know which destination is best. This works the same as your inner being because it decides if you are happy with your direction or not.

This is all about mastering the art of happiness and developing a higher self-esteem so that things that have been attained are happily accepted and things that cannot be attained can be viewed as your next goal or destination. After you have reached one destination, think positive and let it be your sign of success. When you are ready to find a better way to happiness, simply navigate yourself the same way you did before.

Remember that when navigating, you need to consider both the external and internal routes so you can accurately set your destination and cruise through it without any regrets. No need to go to many places at once, but instead go through it route by route and eventually you will keep gaining experience throughout your travels making your navigation towards happiness easier and enjoyable.

The way to happiness can be made clear if you learn how in one easy article. http://www.HappyEssence.com

Finding your Best Way to Happiness

February 6th, 2009

We all know that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. When you know your situation and your surroundings very well and have your eyes set on where you want to be, you should look straightly towards it and never lose sight on it. This may be the best way to looking at the opportunity to achieve happiness, but going about it depends entirely on you.

Taking the shortest possible way to happiness may solve the problem, but a lot of the more in-depth experiences can be missed and those experiences can play a major factor in prolonging the happiness that you wish to attain.

So if it isn’t the shortest, then it may very well be the longest, right? Well not necessarily as long ways have a possibility of taking you through so much and in the end throw you off course. Some long ways can lead to serious distractions and ultimately allowing you to lose sight on where you truly want to go.

Finding the best way to happiness is similar to finding the best way to a hidden treasure with the help of a treasure map. With regards to happiness, a map needs to be imagined in your mind. Every map has key points and dividing that pathway to happiness into segments allows you to highlight the areas that need attention and use those areas to springboard you towards that happiness so that it is yours to keep.

There will always be decision making involved and there may be more than one correct answer. Say for example you are not contented with the performance you are doing in school and you are thinking of studying harder. This can be considered the shortest possible solution. But what happens if you try visualizing a map so you can see a better view of your situation? If you do that, you will see your friends and family as key points to aid you in being better in school. You can keep it simple by asking your friends for help and then studying the rest of the way. This way, you will have a better success rate in doing better in school and ultimately becoming happier.

It is important not to get too caught up in your pursuit to happiness. Say we take the same example and you decide to consult both your family and friends and then spend even more time studying by yourself. This is where a possible frustration builds up due to overworking and some confidence can be lost as a result.

It is healthy to keep things balanced so that you go through enough experiences to secure your happiness and at the same time, you don’t stress yourself out in doing too much work to discourage you from finishing what you started.
