The Perfect Plan to Achieve Authentic Happiness

July 1st, 2009

There will be a hoard of advice that you can get on this topic; authentic happiness is a subject that appeals to many because of its universality.  Every body wants to be happy and that is one fact that will never change.  Additionally, each and every one of us deserves to be happy.  Just imagine how better the world could be if everyone can truly say that they have achieved their bliss. Well, here is an advice that you probably would not hear too often – know what makes you happy by being alone.

Authentic happiness is not something that can be associated with every little thing that surrounds you.  In fact, if anything else, the material stuff and struggle to be accepted by the people around you results in depression and loneliness. The constant hankering for a bigger house, a nicer car, a higher salary, and to rub elbows with the rich and famous and the seemingly long road to them can cause you to forever be dissatisfied with your life.  Before you decide on the “things” that can add to your authentic happiness, be a happy individual first.

In order to know that you have achieved authentic happiness, you need to recognize the fact that loneliness is also a very real feeling.  You can never know how happy you are unless you have felt how it is to be lonely.  And because you never want to be in that sad state again, you can resolve to stay happy intrinsically.

Whenever you feel caught up in the hurricane of all worldly desires, stop; you should primarily be a person who is sure of who you are.  There are so many things that can influence you on how to think, what to think, and when to think that you lose yourself and that begets loneliness.  If you are already happy to begin with, nothing can pull you towards sadness.

“Alone” is not a lonely term; if you can smile and find humor in your own life, then you can say that you have authentic happiness in your hands. When you leave your room, nothing can take that existing joy in your heart away from you. And this emanates from you, infecting the people around you which only make the whole world a whole lot better.

Aside from being an intrinsically happy person, you should also realize that elation is different from constant feelings of happiness. There will be times that you will be brought an almost – nirvana; enjoy it while you can, savor the moment and keep a piece of that with you all the time.  These moments will serve as your stockpile; a source of strength to smile even more every day.

There are many meanings attached to the term authentic happiness; but the best definition would be the one that you have realized on your own. More questions on how to be happy? Check out www.happyessence.com
