The Secret on How to be Happy

April 30th, 2009

The road to happiness is a path that is often navigated in the wrong manner.  It is like being in a foreign country; you seem to not know exactly where everything is headed. Now, some people would be practical, they would look at the street signs and at their maps and concentrate on the landmarks that can be used to guide them to their destination.  Some people, however, have a more positive yet less logical approach, which is to ask the persons they meet on the streets.  The way on how to be happy is similar to this situation.

When you are focusing on the map and the street signs to happiness, you will never get there. You will constantly look around and realize that you are nowhere near where you want to go.  If you exert your efforts on people that surround you, you may never even have to “search” for bliss, you will find it immediately. In fact, every time that you spend time to smile or laugh or even just converse with the people who surround you, your happiness just keeps on going to new heights.  There is probably nothing more rewarding than knowing how to be happy- and here’s the secret; happiness can be found in the people around you!

Ever wonder why so many people seem to be lost, confused and even angry?  Take a peek into their private lives and you just might discover that they have long-standing issues with their families.  The family is the core group of society and there is reason that it is deemed important for an individual’s over all well being. If an individual rarely has decent conversations with his family or even avoids spending time with their parents and siblings, there is a big chance that they will never find the ways on how to be happy.  Having good relationship with the family is a very crucial factor to happiness.  It is where you came from and if you cannot be happy and at peace when you are with the members of your family, then you are in fact shutting down a very influential part of your life.

The same goes for surrounding yourself with friends.  The more satisfied you are with your friendships, the farther you are on the road on how to be happy.  The quantity of friends is not material to gauging joy; it is the quality of the relationships that really matters.  There may be people who think they are happy because of the huge amount of friends that have but the number is more a factor of popularity than happiness.  You may surround yourself with a roomful of people who you know but how many of them really know you and accept you?

There is nothing more pleasurable than creating and maintaining fulfilling relationships.  These are what really account for real happiness in this world. The secret to how to be happy lies in your ability to have meaningful relationships with the people who are important to you.

Happiness is such an elusive state; too many of us try to find this bliss in wealth and fame that we forget how much easier it is to achieve if we concentrate on people instead. Look for the best ways on how to be happy at www.happyessence.com.

Smiling – The First Step to Discovering How to be Happy

April 24th, 2009

If you have ever pretended to be having a good time when you in fact really weren’t, then you would have already discovered a way to pursuing the secrets of how to be happy.  The human mind and body do indeed have complicated processes that they undergo, but the good news is that we can actually have an influence on both by controlling either the way we act or the way we think.

Let us go back to that process called “pretending”.  When you are having a lousy time at a party, have you ever considered that you might be feeling that way because you have already decided to have a bad time? If you think that faking having a good time is like being a hypocrite, then that is what you are.  The next time you are invited to a party, whether an obligatory one or just for fun with good friends, treat it like the way you should – a fun filled event where you can enjoy.  Keep that smile plastered on your face and do not think that you are faking it.  At the end of the night, you will realize that you actually had a pleasurable evening.

Smiling can really be a way of how to be happy everyday.  It does not take much time to choose to put a smile on your face instead of a frown.  Taking control of your facial expressions not only makes you aware of how much you can influence other people, it makes you realize how greatly you can influence your own emotions.

When you wake up in the morning, look at yourself in the mirror and smile.  Follow this up with saying out loud; “I am going to have a great day today!” Concentrate on it and believe in it and you will be on the road to happiness every single day.

As soon as you step out of your apartment, greet that doorman a good morning and smile.  Trust me, he will smile back, or even if he does not, you will still be in a better mood than he is in.  If he does smile back, then you have more reason to celebrate, you not only made yourself happy, you have put another person on his own path on how to be happy.

If you find yourself caught up in horrible traffic, instead of honking your horn incessantly to make that car in front of you move five inches, roll down your window and smile at the driver next to your vehicle. If you can, make small talk – about the clearness of the sky perhaps or even a coffee shop that you plan on enjoying coffee in just right after you escape the traffic jam. You may not feel it yet, but you may have given another person an idea on how to be happy like you.

There is evidence that happiness can be measured physically even if it is considered an abstract concept; a smile it seems triggers physiological changes that make you happy. Interested in the changes happiness can make? Visit www.happyessence.com and discover more ways on how to be happy.

Navigating your Way to Happiness

April 2nd, 2009
Back in the old days, boats had difficult times travelling from one destination to another. It wasn’t as easy as it was thought to be and it isn’t as simple as going from point A to point B. With the latest technology today, routes are carefully planned to ensure the safest travel when navigating towards their given destination. This concept works the exact same way when you want to navigate your way to happiness.

It is true that happiness can be difficult to attain because of the many external obstacles around, just as boats have a difficult time travelling under harsh weather conditions. Boats rely on technology, while you should rely on the power of your mind and creativity in finding your way to happiness.

Before you start to make way, you should always lay out the possible routes and which route can be the best under the given conditions. For happiness, there are two different routes that can be taken.

1. External Routes

External routes involve actions that are closely tied to the external environment. For example, if you are getting hungry, your cravings start to kick in and in order for you to be happy, you need to take the external route and find the best way you can get some food for yourself. If you feel sleepy, then you need to plan on when and where you can get the best possible sleep to keep you happy.

Feeling down and depressed is like being lost in a navigational map and not knowing where to head next. You need to find your way out and discover a new area, which can very well be a new reason to be happy. This is why people who tend to be lost in thoughts end up trying something new and end up enjoying it.

2. Internal Routes

No matter what external route you take, it is the internal routes that truly count. A boat can be seen externally, but it’s the people that actually guide it and know which destination is best. This works the same as your inner being because it decides if you are happy with your direction or not.

This is all about mastering the art of happiness and developing a higher self-esteem so that things that have been attained are happily accepted and things that cannot be attained can be viewed as your next goal or destination. After you have reached one destination, think positive and let it be your sign of success. When you are ready to find a better way to happiness, simply navigate yourself the same way you did before.

Remember that when navigating, you need to consider both the external and internal routes so you can accurately set your destination and cruise through it without any regrets. No need to go to many places at once, but instead go through it route by route and eventually you will keep gaining experience throughout your travels making your navigation towards happiness easier and enjoyable.

The way to happiness can be made clear if you learn how in one easy article. http://www.HappyEssence.com
