Mastering The Art Of Happiness

January 23rd, 2009

When was the last time you saw a fantastic work of art?  Probably not long ago as there are tons of beautiful creations done by people who creatively know how to manifest their imaginations and create something that accurately represents it.  The feeling of creating such an art is always better than finding a work of art that suits you because the power to create gives you full control and lets you mold things exactly the way you want them to be formed.  This strongly relates to happiness and by mastering the art of happiness, you too can create a happiness without even finding ways to be happy.

In order to master the art of happiness, you need to know first what exactly happiness means. Happiness is considered to be an emotion or a unique state of mind.  It’s unique because of the several of views of happiness that resonate from different people. Different views of happiness result to different forms of happiness that will best suit an individual.

Just like a work of art, a piece of art may not be appreciated by everyone.  Once again, this applies to happiness as something that makes you happy may not make others.  If everyone can just master their own art of happiness, everyone can find their own safe haven which can protect them from harmful forms that can bring them down.

To master it, the first thing to do is enjoy the things that you like doing.  This may sound like a no brainer, but there are tendencies where you enjoy doing something, but have a hidden guilt or fear of consequence for doing what you love doing. The end result of this is not enjoying them together at all.

On the opposite end, if ever you encounter something that you really don’t like, then the best thing to do is avoid it.  Of course before you conclude to that decision, you should examine all fronts and check if there are any reasons not to avoid it even if you really do want to.  If ever you can’t avoid it, you can always attempt to change it into something of your liking.

There are some things that simply can’t be changed due to external forces that are not under your control.  This is where you need to finally accept it and acceptance can be very difficult depending on the situation.  In fact, the mere choice of accepting it can possibly lead to unhappiness leaving you with nowhere to go, right?  Well, in times where something is unchangeable and unavoidable, there is still a way and that is by changing your attitude towards it.

You have full control of yourself and you realize what it takes for your happiness so why not change those views into something that you can bring out acceptance and in the end make a happy picture out of it.

Authentic Happiness: Why It Matters

January 2nd, 2009

When you finally found the happiness that you were looking for, the next question would be on how long you would want it to last.  It may depend on you or the actions or external forces all around that can dramatically affect the present scene.  It is known as temporary happiness when you have gotten a taste of happiness and lost it later. When you know you have happiness and you know it is yours to keep, then that is when you can say that it’s authentic happiness.

Sure, it is okay to lose happiness when you can find it again, but authentic happiness matters a lot more than you think.  Think about all the constant efforts that are done to get it back or the so-called short term fixes for that temporary relief.  If you keep on letting it go and finding it again, you know that there isn’t one period where you are fully contented with what you have.

Having an authentic happiness means no fear of ever losing it because you know you are fully contented with what you have right now.  The reason why it matters so much is because unlike the temporary forms, there is no element of sorrow in the equation.

It can also be a bit difficult to reach for some people because whenever people reach a level of happiness using a too good to be true method, they would start to rest easy until a next downfall occurs. The causes of these possible downfalls are simply the rushes in trying to build a quick and cheap solution.  It’s like building a house for your home too fast – If you rush it, the lesser the lifespan is and more likely to collapse making it a temporary home over time.

Authentic happiness takes a process of building a road towards happiness that is carefully planned out with all the sides being looked through.  It is a matter of knowing where you are and knowing where you want to go and seeing if it is what you truly want without any doubts or consequence.

Listing every possible solution and running through that in your mind is the trick to achieving it.  All it takes is some imagination and evaluation.  Don’t just look a few days ahead, but look far beyond years and secure yourself with your decision so you will never have the need of backtracking and finding another pathway to your desired happiness.  It is a rewarding experience and it even lets you begin even more pursuit of happiness from there.  As you progress, you will discover more ways to create additional happiness and bring enjoyable experiences to your lifestyle.

See why happiness is not enough and why authentic happiness can do you well. http://www.HappyEssence.com
